"You Have Been Reviewed" is owned, operated and maintained by one person - you can call me "Reviewer Extraordinaire". LOL I am an experienced author and artist, and I have enjoyed popularity on the web as both since 1998. My expertise in both is in traditional media, including the ever-feared "red pen", but over the last few years I have expanded my arts into web media. My reason for keeping my identity anonymous? I don't want anyone to look at my reviews as coming from a certain genre or coming from a certain art style - my reviews are based around my opinions and experience.
If you would like to see something reviewed by me, please e-mail me at youhavebeenreviewed@yahoo.com with a link and why you'd like to see it reviewed. Love it, hate it, arguing with your friends over it, or just found it when you were bored - it all works for me. It may take a few days for a review to appear in this journal.
If you have been reviewed, I hope that you find the review helpful! I strive to offer no-nonsense reviews to better help the web community and improve the quality of material on the web every day.
Comments on all entries are open to everyone. Feel free to post your thoughts, opinions and ideas on my review or on the material being reviewed. PLEASE avoid excessive profanity - you'll find that even I use it from time to time, but I *DON'T* want to see this journal shut down because someone has to drop the effenheimer every other word. Otherwise, comment away! :D
For those who haven't figured it out from my other Bio information, I am American and and was raised and taught American English. I am fairly familiar with UK and Commonwealth English, but I am not fully familiar with all of their rules of grammar. I know enough Japanese to probably survive a day in Tokyo with only getting myself into serious trouble three or four times, and I know enough Latin to find my way around ancient ruins and get a vague idea of the content of ancient texts. I know sparse amounts of French, German, Spanish, Portugese, Egyptian and Hebrew, so I'll recognize some words from those languages but not enough to understand complex phrases or complete sentences without a dictionary. (I didn't fail my two years of high school Spanish, I just lost all of it upon leaving school. ^_^; ) Please don't send me links to fiction or pages written in foreign languages, and I would prefer that any UK or other non-American English links be from experienced writers who know their native variant well.
